Adventure 1190/1290 - TVS-40 Ultra Short Tuned Velocity Stack

After the success of our 40mm stacks for the Super Duke 1290, we decided to offer the same options to the Adventure 1190/1290 crowd. With even more tuning options offered, the TVS-40-54 series velocity stacks now give the Adventure owner a full range of options to suit their riding styles.

For those of you looking to slightly mellow your low end and move that power rush further towards the mid and top end and add off road tractability, Rottweiler Performance has now created our ultra short series velocity stacks in 40 millimeter lengths. Extensive dyno testing has shown significant top end gains when combining our ultra short stacks with either a front TVS-80 (80mm) stack or another short TVS-40 (40mm) front stack for the ultimate in mid to top end power. If you spend most of your time in the upper RPM ranges, the TVS-40 series stacks are for you.

Combinations are as follows: (First number being the front cylinder velocity stack length)

  • 100/100 - Stock intake configuration
  • 100/80 - Great power when combined with a Rottweiler Intake System (Comes with Stage 2 Intake and up)
  • 80/80 - Improved power overall compared to 100/80 configuration, great overall spread with no compromises.
  • 80/40 - Starting to shift the power towards the mid-range. Becoming more tractable off road.
  • 40/40 - Most tractable, shifting to mid-range and top end power, great for off road traction and highway travel.

We didn't stop there. By reshaping the velocity stack with a 180 degree bell-mouth opening and altering the taper of the bore we were able to achieve smoother induction flow characteristics as well as velocity, optimizing the added flow volume of our intake systems. By adding a second TVS-40 velocity stack to the front cylinder, you will realize even further top end gains and smoother running engine over stock. At 60mm shorter you now have more options to play with and customize your power delivery.

For years now tuners have had great success by changing the lengths of the velocity stacks in the intake. Up until now there have been no options for the new model KTMs and now Rottweiler has beautifully machined these from 6061 T6 billet aluminum with a Type 2 black anodize.
