The Arrow Racing Header eliminates the heavy and heat soaked catalytic converter for a 'true through' performance upgrade for the Adventure 1190/1290. This header will fit all stock configurations at the muffler joints and will work with any muffler that is designed to fit using the stock clamping method. What this means is that any muffler that will fit the stock mid-pipe will fit the Arrow mid-pipe as well as the attachment points are exactly the same as stock. No cutting or modification required as this is a bolt on product.
NEW! Rottweiler Performance has made special arrangments with Arrow Italy to have this exhaust system now supplied with 18mm O2 bungs in two places with a reducer to 12mm in the front tube and a plug for the rear underneath the bike where it cannot be seen.
What does this mean to you? Almost all stock exhaust systems are now coming with 12mm narrow band O2 bungs. While they are smaller in size, they are incapable of accepting the larger 18mm wide band O2's that are necessary for the use of a Dynojet Auto Tune or wide band O2's used for tuning on a dynometer with a Powercommander V. Previously you would either be required to weld 18mm bungs to the stock header, or pay $69.00 extra for us to weld them to the Arrow exhaust on this page. Now we offer Arrow exhaust systems 18mm O2 capable, and at a much lower price. A Rottweiler Performance exclusive that you cannot find anywhere else.

Yeah, this is it! Commuting on my 1090 Adventure was delightful except for the heat, and the ceramic coated Arrow header has knocked that down by about 60-70 percent--you can actually touch these with your bare hands a couple minutes after you finish a ride--it's freaky. The whole thing slid together so tightly you can't see a seam! Took about 3 hours, start to finish, to replace the old exhaust with this and an Arrow can. The finish and welds are high quality, the ceramic coating is smooth and even, no drips or low spots, and the fit is exact. The Arrow silencer is great, too--probably weighs about a third of the monstrous stock version (I got the titanium one), which is probably 15 or 20 pounds--it's like it's filled with water or something....
Immediate heat improvement, although there is still a little from the left side--this kit does not come with the replacement for the little 10 inch rear cylinder collector pipe, but Rottweiler actually has a ceramic coated version of that, too, although it requires a core and I didn't learn about it until I talked to Lee by email. It's probably something I will do in the not too distant future, especially since it's a pretty straightforward install.
The Arrow instructions are not as good as Chris', but they are easily up to the task. Use the metal lubricant for the joints (just a tiny bit) and they slide together like, well, like they were made to. The Carbon tip and heel guard are lovely, as well.
As always, unbelievable customer service. I ordered with with a stage IV intake kit with PCV and the maps were already loaded. Too easy.
Oh, and it sounds great--just enough V-twin throb, but there's no mistaking it for a Duc or HD--it's got its own thing going on there, and it's excellent--not loud, but good presence, with a little snarl.

Great lightweight header. Perfect item to finish unleashing the beast when combined with stage 4. The power delivery is smooth at the bottom and truly explodes on the upper 1/2 of the range. I see the redline a lot more often now... I haven't ridden in traffic yet so I can't really comment on the heat reduction but it seems to be a bit better. I can confirm that it does fit with any slip-on that fits on the stock header. I used an SC Projects slip-on and it fitted perfectly. I did wish it came with O-rings to replace the stock ones, as they are fragile and removing them from the stock header requires care and patience. Ordering and shipping went ultra smooth as always. Big thanks to Chris and crew for they reliable services, products, and advice, and helping me turn my SAS into a monster.

I ordered myself a box full of goodies from Chris and part one of which was the Arrow Racing header. Ordered mainly because I got tired of the heat the catalytic converter was producing and was curious as to what difference it would make.
To put it simple ,I got more then I begged for and it basically turned the bike into a fire spitting beast!! Well almost:) I've put about 48k km on the clock; mainly in Arg, Chile and Brasil and now back Spain so I can say I know about the heat the bike can produce (even made my own side heat shields before the trip!) and removing the cat with these headers has opened up a whole different dimension of riding pleasure to say the least. The throttle response has become VERY direct and clean in low revs, but also very noticeable mid revs in 5th for instance, there's a lot more grunt and it just takes off!!
As for the sound with my Wings shorty...let's say it's unrestricted and I can't get enough of it! Might have to put the smaller dB killer on actually. lol
Then for the heat, it seems to have almost disappeared but have not been stuck in traffic yet and weather has been fairly cool so will try and get the bike hot in traffic report some more. Definitely feels like a major improvement
Great and swift service from Chris. Shipping to Spain took about 6 days, pretty good considering the speed of the Spanish customs. The finish of the pipes is nice and fits without a problem.
All in all I for me the headers are worth their weight in gold. Now on to installing the Rott stage 3 and Rekluse clutch:))
