This Ignition Module allows the addition of up to 10 degrees +/- of ignition adjustment on all LC8 1050-1290 KTM models when used in conjunction with a Powercommander V. Just like the Power Commander, the Ignition Module uses OEM style connectors to plug right into the stock ignition harness so no cutting or splicing is required whatsoever.
The Ignition Module uses “direct coil driver technology” and allows a high degree of timing adjustment. In the Power commander Control Center Software the user is able to advance or retard the ignition curve up to +/- 10 degrees based on throttle position and RPM. It is also possible to alter the timing for each cylinder individually if necessary or per gear when combined with a speed enabled POD-300.
The Ignition Module comes standard with no adjustments made in the map but if you would like us to set this up for you, this module must be purchased at the same time as a Powercommander V as both units must be present to 'marry' the two modules together. Simply add to the comments upon checkout that you would like this done and we will handle the rest. The units will come with a setup certificate with your name and serial number assuring you that the work has been done.

So, I dyno'd my 2014 1290 r with just a PC5 and felt good performance gains. But I had NO IDEA what I was missing. The ignition module is a GAME CHANGER. now there are no flat spots in the rev range and the torque/hp curves are extremely linear. This is what the KTM engineers originally intended the bike to be before emission regulations.

When you've done full bolt ons and your looking for that last 6hp (1290sd) this is the modification to get. Easy to use and made a noticeable difference in performance through the entire rpm band.
