The BRP SUB "Scotts Under Bar" Mount is the industry leader in stabilizer mounting options and is a very popular setup for adventure riding, dual sport, motocross and off road and riders. The SUB Mount is designed to run 1 1/8" ProTaper style handlebar and mount a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar replacing the bar mount assembly on OEM clamps. The SUB Mount setup offers several benefits over a conventional "above bar" stabilizer setup.
The The BRP Rubber Mounted SUB "Scotts Under Bar" Adapter uses (8) Poly-Urethane bushings to isolate vibration and reduce rider fatigue by softening the harsh spike of hitting square edge rocks and obstacles. Comes complete with two different durometer bushings to fine tune the amount of vibration dampening.
Designed to mount a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar using your OEM cast or billet triple clamp. This BRP Rubber Mounted SUB adapter mounts to the existing rear bar mount holes and allows you to run in between position 2 and 3. SUB Mounting a stabilizer offers several benefits over a conventional "above bar" setup and is becoming a very popular setup for GP's, motocross, off road, dual sport applications and riders of taller stature.
Be sure to select the proper year in order to get the correct part for your order. If you choose to remove the stabilizer from this kit (you already have one), the stabilizer link arm will need to be reverse mounted "going under the body of the unit". This unit cannot be used with Cycra center reach mount hand-guards.

The 690 Enduro can get a little light in the front end at speed. The steering damper is a must have to control that unexpected steering head wrench you get sometimes when the bars are just ripped from your grasp. It also helps the front end wobble at speed on the highway. Mind you it’s not a cure all but a damn nice mod nonetheless.

I've had a number of Scotts dampers over the years and there is nothing better. I have to say the BRP submount kit is beautifully engineered and was a pleasure to install. Very clever plate system that does not require you to remove the triple clamps as on other damper kits. The BRP mount raises the bars about 15MM and offers two sets of urethane bushings. I put in the softest set to try out first. Still completing my KTM 690 Rally Project so haven't had a chance to ride with this product yet.
