The Rottweiler Performance 'Fueling Dongles' are an effective and simple method to improving the fueling mixture of any fuel injected KTM by allowing the stock ECU to deliver a proper mixture at low to mid RPMs. By replacing the stock narrow band O2 plugs with these simple to install dongles, the Rottweiler Fueling Dongles feed the stock ECU a pre set signal that substantially smooths out the lower end power delivery reducing the jerky transition between the extremely lean low RPM mapping and the open loop upper end mapping. Overall average air fuel ratios also tend to richen up by about .5 to 1 point as well allowing the user an inexpensive option to 'bump up' the richness of their fuel delivery if the cost of a Powercommander is not currently an option for them.
How do they work? It's actually quite simple. The stock ECU is set to lean out the fuel delivery to a very lean 14.7 air fuel ratio (AFR) under 5500 RPM and 20% throttle. Once the engine has reached a sufficient warm up the ECU 'listens' to the stock narrow band O2 sensors and looks for a particular signal to keep the bike in that lean condition. This causes heat issues from extremely hot header pipes, makes the motorcycle jerky at low RPMs and reduces power. The Rottweiler Fueling Dongles send a return signal to the stock ECU that keeps the low end fueling at a much better running 13.8 +/-. A mixture that translates into an overall better running motorcycle.
Note: When running our Rottweiler Fueling Dongles, you have the option to remove your stock O2 sensors from the exhaust header F+R. Click below for O2 bung plug options.
Notes, Suggestions or Precautions:
Rottweiler Fueling Dongles work very much the same as the 'O2 Eliminators' that typically come with Powercommander piggy back ECUs. You do not need these dongles if you are also purchasing a Powercommander. Tests have shown that average AFRs (air fuel ratios) richen up almost a full point when using the Rottweiler Fueling Dongles. They come in pairs. One for each cylinder and plug into the electrical harness replacing the stock O2s.

My first impression after installing the fueling dongles is
that they work as advertised. Low speed throttle response is much better. Slow speeds on the trails are more enjoyable. Thanks for a great product.

Eliminated the hunting of the engine on my KTM 1290 SA at low speeds as advertised.

Fitted Wings exhaust to my Superduke, Then fitted fueling dongles. Very impressive, smooths out the bottom end, much stronger from idle as you let the clutch out, much harder to stall. More tractable round town. Nice simple rideability improvement. Thanks Rottweiler:)

These simple little dongles completely changed the way my 1290 SA handles at low rpm and in the lower gears. Precise throttle control is a breeze - no more lunging! The also reduce the dreaded hot seat this bike is infamous for. They didn't eliminate the toasted buns but they helped. They did eliminate the throttle control issue and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Makes me wonder what the powercommander would do - saving up for it next!

I finally grew tired of my SMT's snatchy throttle (stock air box and slip on exhaust) and decided to try these out since I have zero interest in fiddling around with tuning. They worked out perfect which makes it a no brainer considering the cost and simplicity of installation. Much better throttle response around town, in roundabouts and I'm no longer hesitant riding in the rain. While researching these I remember reading somebody's concern about losing mpg due to the richer mixture but honestly I'm experiencing the opposite since I can comfortably cruise one gear higher now.

Thanks Rotty staff for probably the single best, cheapest mod I've installed on a bike aside from maybe a Fender Eliminator because I'm incredibly vain.
Night and day difference, bike runs way smoother and feels better around town, noticed the difference as soon as I turned out of my driveway. Simple install and bike looks fractionally cleaner, too. Thanks again!

Just installed the Dongles on my 07 990 Adventure and they work exactly as advertised. Totally smoothed out the power delivery at part throttle and below 4k, also eliminated the part throttle hiccup at 4.5k that the bike previously had. Gas mileage suffered a bit, as expected, but a great value for the price.

Install is easy. They function as designed Thanks Rottweiler for a product that works

Great quality nice and tight clip in components. Have smoothed out throttle response. Would recommend to those who are not looking to fit a power commander v any time soon. A+++

Worked great! I feel like it pulls a wheelie even easier. Awesome product and removed weight from the bike too.

Simple but effective. First ride after install and instantly noticed much better throttle under 4k rpm.

Made all the difference. Runs completely smooth at low rpm.

I just installed on my SDR. Night and day positive diff.
Sweetens the ride tremendously, much smoother.
These are a no-brainer for the SDR.

I thought the fueling was pretty good on the Super Duke but a little fluffy and some vibration/coarseness at 4k rpm and below. These dongles eliminated all of that and the bike feels much better; throttle response is smooth and the vibration is reduced enough that I can use a gear higher than before when cruising. A revelation. My bike is stock except for a Yoshimura slip on.

Works exactly as advertised, simple to install.

It's a band-aid but a simple, cheap and very effective band-aid for the snatchy/surging/stumbling during low RPM light throttle. Bike is much smoother and more enjoyable but does run rich in the aforementioned conditions so there is the occasional backfire. An acceptable trade-off for the benefits especially considering the cost. A full PCV with associated intake/exhaust mods and custom dyno tuning is the better alternative for roughly 20x the price. I'm very happy with the dongles.

These dongles do exactly what they said they would - essentially eliminated all of the snatchyness - made the bike much easier to ride in most all conditions.

Awesome product! Removes low end stumble and allows to warm up faster.

Dongles did what I was hoping. I no longer have that irritating surging the engine made on 990 adventure. Before I was using clutch to smooth it out and I stalled the engine several times before in technical riding situations. I really like my bike now. My confidence has been raised. Buy it!!

Great fix for a snatchy throttle on a 2011 KTM 990 Adv. Rottweiler seems to have got the resistance right pushing the ECU into a far more palatable, richer, fueling map which has made an almost revelatory difference to the bikes 'rideablity'.

Quick fix for the 1290 SD-R Smooth/predictable transition from cruise to WOT. $ well spent.
