NEW! All of our SAS plates are now Thermocoated! This means that unlike other anodized plates, they will never fade from heat or UV and will look good for the lifetime of your motorcycle.
The SAS Stage 3 kit has everything you will need to completely remove the emissions on your KTM twin and is highly recommended for the Adventure 990 models due to the lack of stock hoses left over to complete the job. Outside of that model the Stage 3 SAS kit is also designed to aid in balancing the throttle bodies in the future. EXPLANATION: The ports on the throttle bodies that are used to measure the vacuum on each throttle body can be very difficult and time consuming to access and this kit contains parts so that hoses can be attached at one given time (Usually when a Rottweiler Intake System is being installed) and then routed to a place that is much easier to access when the balancing of the throttle bodies is desired.
What is throttle body balancing? Throttle bodies are the method used with fuel injection to deliver the air and fuel mixture to the engine. At idle, the throttle plates are only slightly opened and these openings are critical for a smooth idle and roll off from a stop. If they are out of sync (one is open more than another), you may have a rough idle or poor take off from a stop. Balancing the throttle bodies requires a vacuum tool (available below) to properly measure and correct the slight differences in air flow from one throttle opening to another and is attached to the same ports that the canister valve used to connect to (before removing the emissions). If this is something you think you may do in the future, you will be thankful that this kit is already installed and ready when you are. If balancing the throttle bodies is not something you think you will ever do, we recommend our SAS Stage 2 kit. Balancing the throttle bodies on a KTM Adventure 990 is extremely easy due to the dual fuel tank setup and the ability to run the bike with the fuel tanks secured. Keep in mind that this may a more difficult task on single tank models requiring the fuel tank to be 'propped up' while the bike is running.
The differences between the Stage 2 and 3 SAS kits is only the addition of 8' (3.5m) of tygon hose, a hose holder and some caps.
NOTE: To install this kit on a KTM Adventure 1190/1290, you must remove the throttle bodies and that is best done when installing an intake at the same time.

Nothing says easy like Rottweiler stuff. Everything I get from these nice folks just works. Dave was awesome on the phone and told me where to download everything I needed to install the parts.

No more pops and back fires.

easy to install, a fair amount of weight savings and the best part, the bike is actually ride able in the lower rpms now! Cleans up the look and also now have space under the seat for a tool kit. Rottweiler's instructions are clear and easy to follow.

If you own a KTM big Twin, spend your money at Rottweiler Performance. They have the knowledge, systems and kits you desire.

Really happy with the quality of the entire kit. Nothing left out and completed the job cleanly without any cheesy parts like I have seen from other manufacturers.

I was unsure about buying from a third party to remove the SAS on my '16 Superduke R but this product surpassed all expectations. Fit was perfect and it removed the pop that was happening due to my de-cat arrow mid pipe and graves slip on. I will be buying from Rottweiler again.

After saving up for the intake, I figured I may as well delete all the emissions / SAS system while I was down there. That was a great plan, because once you get to the intake all this stuff is laid bare and you just may as well. The Tygon hose to the front throttle body balancing nipple probably took me 4-5 hours to fish through the mess down there and mount. It was probably one of the most frustrating things I've ever done mechanically, and I would highly suggest planning to remove your throttle bodies if you want it to be easier. Once it was all done, it really did clean up the bike. There is just a lot less stuff there. POWER WISE: WOW. The fueling, the power delivery, etc. It's all better. I can't really put a value on this kit and how it transformed the bike (along with the intake). It made the bike roll on power more smoothly, and made the delivery MUCH more linear. It honestly rides like a sportbike now. It's 100% worth the money with the intake. Personally, I think the fuelling dongles and whatnot probably make the bigger difference, but you can't go wrong with the whole kit and getting it all done right the first time.

Watched the how-to video on YouTube and literally finished the entire removal and install in about an hour. Couldn't have been easier

Quick, easy and painless. Who doesn't like that? The Rottweiler crew is also awesome to deal with and shipping was fast. They told me that no backorders is their thing and I received all of my parts pretty quick.

High quality, fast shipping, looks great. I am cutting as much weight as I can and this is an inexpensive easy place to start

This is the second kit (going on my second 990 ADV) and it is without a doubt the best kit on the market. The quality of the kit is outstanding and the instructions are easy to follow. Yep, putting the block off plate on the forward cylinder is a PITA, but once it's done...its done. I want to give a big Thank You to the Rottweiler Performance Team!

For the most part the installation is easy. The supplied clamps were a pain and I ended up reusing the old clamps. I now have space to store my tool kit, which is what I wanted.

Just what I needed

This product was a awesome choice. Seamless operation without throwing any codes thanks to the provided dongles. With this kit installed it frees up lots of room under the seat you will have tons of room power commander, auto tuner and much more to tame the beast but keep all of it power.

Recently bought this for my KTM 1290 Superduke R Special edition along with a CAT delete. The installation is pretty straight forward and I followed the YouTube video made by Rottweiler. Installed it in less than 2 hours; took my sweet time as this was one of the first mods on the bike.
Build quality is top notch and shipping was fast. This is a must to do mod for CAT delete and it also got rid of the annoying popping when decelerating after hard acceleration or downshifts.

Comes with plenty of high-quality tubing and clamp device for throttle body sync tubes. Only negative is the supplied clamps are a little sketchy. I re-used the originals.

The people at rottweiler were awesome to deal with!! They expedited my kit to the dealer where the bike was and the install was seamless.

Did as advertised. I already had the KTM/Akra SAS removal kit, but had to order this entire kit to get the Canisterectomy bits.
Install was easy, though I wish the clamps for the tygon hose were a bit better. It was hard to get them over the throttle body nipples since the space is so tight. Other than that... no issues.

SAS removal kit stage 3 for the KtM 1290 SA install was easy enough
The throttle body lines were a PITA to secure properly no fault to Rottweiler
All parts we're included video instal was easy to follow
Would rate 5 stars but kit didn't include a date with Ariana Grande

Rottweiler not only provided an excellent product but with a thorough video to boot. Very easy install. Highly recommend.

Have to admit if it were not for your very detailed video I would have not ordered it. Very very easy to do and really cleaned up the look of the motor. Also have not had any popping during deceleration. I will for sure order more parts from you.

I found this mod quite easy to install. While I was doing the work, I took the advice of Rottweiler and installed the tubing so that performing a throttle body balance will be much easier than removing so many parts. Clearing up the traffic jam of tubing is a plus. Much neater and easier to get at the space under the tank.

This kit removes a ridiculous amount of tubing, canisters, hardware, etc for a super cost effective weight loss/dollar ratio. Everything is top notch in fit, does what it was expected to do with the highest quality. Be forewarned that the forward SAS plate is very difficult to put on, this is not the fault of Rottweilier, it's just the cramped quarters around the engine in that area. Be calm!

To my surprise when I started the installation of this kit there was no charcoal canister fitted to my bike. I guess in Australia we have clean enough air to cope ? The rest of the kit fitted well with great instructional videos.
Rottweiler Note: Jase is correct, some countries do not have the canister but to avoid confusion for sales across multiple countries we only sell kits with the canister dongles in them. In Australia's case you would simply not use the canister dongle from the kit.

Very well thought out kit. simple and to the point. shocked how much the emissions equipment weights. the extra room under the seat is a big bonus.

Fit great just be sure to use some sort of anti-seize thats rated for hi temp on the threads as it is SS to SS contact.

I have been running the Air Intake System now for a while and I wanted to take on another project on my bike. Looking at all of the ridiculous smog tubing I went on line to see if someone has a system to eliminate this mess. All I could find was blog after blog on how to do it but nothing on the market plug and play. I found what I was looking for. Rottweiler's kit had everything I needed to complete the removal of all the smog junk and they even have a video on how to do it. The instructions are complete and in just a couple hours I was done and had a pile of junk on the floor that had to weigh a couple pounds. Nice work guys I'm very happy with the results.
