Definitely put this through its paces, and it does a fantastic job of gliding over rocks and ledges so much that I don't even think about ground clearance anymore. It can take a ton of abuse. Have had one minor issue, not a showstopper, but something to watch for. It deflects (and returns to shape properly) just a bit on really hard impacts. I'd highly recommend supplementing it with some protection for the fuel pump underneath, or bring a spare fuel pump hose adapter just in case. From experience (and obvious lack of riding skills on my part), I can confirm that if you hit a rock on the left side just the wrong way, you can crack the factory fuel nozzle at the bottom of the tank when the skid plate deflects upwards. The fuel pump and tank are perfectly protected because the impact is distributed nicely, but the nozzle sticks out just a little, and it didn't quite survive my last little "miscalculation." ;) Other than that, it fits great, is easy enough to install (no drilling or anything like that required), and it does it's job very well!
