Camel ADV - KTM 790-890 Adventure Neck Brace

The Headlight assembly on the 790-890 Adventure bikes' are nothing short of the weight of a young child. All of the weight sits on four very small metal posts that are welded to the bikes' head tube without any additional support. Add on your favorite GPS mount that bolts to the headlight assembly then your GPS and any other adventure or navigation equipment, now you could have a recipe for disaster. When riding rough terrain, these four posts will receive quite a bit of stress that can either cause them to crack/deteriorate over time or worse, fail which will leave your bike headless. Not really, just with the headlight dangling in the wind which definitely is not good! When these posts break, you will be left with very little options for repair and what's left of the posts or new material must be welded on in the same location to provide a mounting solution for the headlight assembly. This creates a particular issue because well, we all know that guy who has a buddy who's friend can weld. Another issue is that the bikes' immobilizer system lives under the headlight, if the headlight falls off, the wires will most certainly be damage in the process which could ultimately leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere with a big, heavy paperweight. The Camel Neck Brace supports these posts by securing all points together and tying them to the back of the head tube via the mounting tab welded to the frame.
