good idea, but a bit difficult at first

Got this before my first oil change for my 790 duke, come to find out that the oil filter they use from the manufacture has a spring pressure bypass on the center of the filter, so trying to stab and twist was a bit challenging as the center disc would push in, so after a couple minutes trying to get it to thread in, I gave up so that I wouldn't accidentally damage anything, ended using these reverse style c clip pliers and it grabbed the inner divet and was able to pull the filter out with ease.
Now they new ktm filter I installed doesnt have the same center spring part, so maybe the tool will work better next time.
