NOTE: DOES NOT WORK ON 2021+ 690-701 EU MODELS HOWEVER THIS WILL WORK ON U.S. MODELS
The Rottweiler Performance 'Fueling Dongles' are an effective and simple method to improving the fueling mixture of any fuel injected KTM by allowing the stock ECU to deliver a proper mixture at low to mid RPMs. By replacing the stock narrow band O2 plugs with these simple to install dongles, the Rottweiler Fueling Dongles feed the stock ECU a pre set signal that substantially smooths out the lower end power delivery reducing the jerky transition between the extremely lean low RPM mapping and the open loop upper end mapping. Overall average air fuel ratios also tend to richen up by about .5 to 1 point as well allowing the user an inexpensive option to 'bump up' the richness of their fuel delivery if the cost of a Powercommander is not currently an option for them.
How do they work? It's actually quite simple. The stock ECU is set to lean out the fuel delivery to a very lean 14.7 air fuel ratio (AFR) under 5500 RPM and 20% throttle. Once the engine has reached a sufficient warm up the ECU 'listens' to the stock narrow band O2 sensors and looks for a particular signal to keep the bike in that lean condition. This causes heat issues from extremely hot header pipes, makes the motorcycle jerky at low RPMs and reduces power. The Rottweiler Fueling Dongles send a return signal to the stock ECU that keeps the low end fueling at a much better running 13.8 +/-. A mixture that translates into an overall better running motorcycle.
Note: When running our Rottweiler Fueling Dongles, you have the option to remove your stock O2 sensor from the exhaust header. You may add one below in options.

Put this on my KTM duke 690 to cure low speed fueling problems. It still doesn't pull as cleanly as my Husky Terra 650 through town, but at least it is manageable with a very steady hand.

Ordered the wrong part, fast delivery of said wrong part. Can’t blame them for my mistake.

Wow, this made a noticeable difference in low to mid-range performance. I wish this was one of the first mods I did to my 690.

the Fueling Dongle
it’s amazing the motorcycle feel smoother
thank you so much

This dongle is awesome! Immediately smoothed out my SMC-R in the lower RPMs. And the O2 Plug you can add is great as well. Don't think, just buy it!

Noticeable improvement in mid-range throttle response. Seems much more responsive.
Posted by Avi on 21st Jul 2022
totally smooths out the bike at lower rpms. cant believe the difference. its night and day.
The only difficult part of the install was installing the plug on the exhaust after removing the o2 sensor.. but with the right tools its a 5 minute job at worst.

Brand new bike. Did first oil change a few days ago. Stock the bike runs well overall but you can tell its choked up. I removed the 2 end perforated stainless discs and added this fuel dongle. What a nice difference that made. I know there is more to be had with a different muffler end cap and ECU but this low budget mod really makes a difference in performance and its really not much louder than with the discs intact. I like quiet mufflers so this is a great improvement. Highly recommend. Rottweiler assured me it would not run lean with this mod. I think they are right from the way it runs. Very slow riding is improved. It was quite good bone stock but this is much better. I've used one on a 2020 690 SMCR with very good results too.

This is the best thing you can buy for your 690, especially after you put on an exhaust

Smooths out low speed fueling. Not dramatic but noticeable and less anoying.

No problem to remove the O2 sensor and install, have not ridden the bike yet, 25 degrees outside

I do not understand what this does, but....I love what this thing did for the low rpm performance...it really changes the way I ride the bike! Best $30 I ever spent!

Excellent, inexpensive fix. Instantly changed the low speed/rpm choppiness. Highly recommended. A dope like me can install it, anyone can. Good YouTube video on installation as well. This is the first review I've ever written for a product. Makes me love riding my (new to me) Husky even more.

If you're on the fence, buy it! The lower end is much smoother. great for lower rpm cruising... not on the road of coarse ;)

Super easy install, smoothens out the low rpms/throttle response and fueling, feels like it also made my quickshifter+ operation smoother on 2020 690 smc r. Cheap and easy low cost must do mod.

This product cleans up the engine and performs as expected. Definitely a good finishing touch after all the typical mods.

Plugged pretty quick and clean, I found it really smoothed out and made the lower end power more predictable. Just learning to ride so getting rid of the sudden close to open look really helped me be able to predict what the bike would do.

Let me start by saying I know NOTHING about electronics. I would pick up the hot end of a soldering iron. Probably twice. But this was super easy. Remove the O2 sensor, follow the wire to the snap clip (pretty well hidden in the guts of my Duke 690) Lift the snap, pull the O2 sensor off, and snap in the dongle. Put the bolt in the hole left by the O2 sensor removal, and Done! I re-set the throttle and idled the engine for 15 minutes and that's all there is to it. Every review I've read says it works great, but it's 106 degrees today in Las Vegas so we'll see once the sun goes down. Thanks, Rottweiler! Good job and a great value.

Works great on 2019 690 Enduro R with Wings and Rade Garage storage (with pod air filter). Fueling on low revs is much better and less jerky.

Just installed and tested for 20 minutes. 2021 US model SMCR. Idles well now, and does not lug at low rpm.
What's with that connector. Takes half the time just releasing the male/female. ends.

I never expected the results that I received from a 30 buck part. This part completely changed the low RPM performance of my 2020 Svartpilen 701. Unbelievable. Any idiot can install it. Get this thing! Prompt service too

I seriously can't believe how good this worked on my 701 svartpilen. Totally smoothed out the lower rpm low throttle bucking and carrying on. Awesome and for $30!!!! Its a no Brainer.

Almost removed annoying torque at lower speeds. Great improvement for control. Also was cheaper buying this than a brand new 02 sensor as mine failed.

Great service from Rottweiler. Easy to install and delivered the performance as prompted.

This is a very good improvement overall. I agree with the other reviewers on the benefits of this. I thought the bike was pretty good stock but this has removed much of the lean surging that I was experiencing. I highly recommend this if something like a Power Commander is just too expensive. I am pleased so far. I does make it run better. My bike KTM 2020 690 SMCR

I have put a few hundred miles on the bike since installing the fuel dongle & deleting the O2 sensor. It really helped smooth out the bottom end and idle. It was crazy easy to install and delivered amazing results for the amount of effort required. I would definitely recommend throwing this on your 690/701!

Works as advertised, no CEL light and it woke the bike up dramatically. Don’t tell the cops, but where this thing used to fall on its face low end, it now absolutely loves to RIP wheelies of the off-road variety of course, because we are respectful law abiding citizens, right? ;).
All jokes aside, took less than 5 minutes to install all together and really woke up the bike and I’m super happy with the purchase.
My only complaint.... it didn’t come with a Rottweiler Performance sticker like my other parts did. I teared up a little. I love to sticker bomb my toolboxes and add some to the bike here and there.

This fuel dongle is the best upgrade to make your bike run better in the under 5500 rpm range especially for the price!

Installed on a 2012 690 enduro R.
I couldn't stand that the bike could not be ridden under 4000rpm. The ridiculous fuelling caused so much chugging and power loss that i was ready to trade the bike.
I installed the fuel dongle and drove away on a completely different bike! Yes there is more power for sure but the fact that there is absolutely no loss of smoothness in any of the rpm range is everything. It's mind boggling that the bike comes from the factory as it does and even more crazy that a 5 min fix for under 40 bucks cures everything. I've spent over a thousand on exhaust and filters on other bikes and didn't get a result anywhere close to this. It's actually stupid not to buy it. If you read this far and still arent sure, make a doctor's appointment, you need your head checked!

I was amazed that such a small, inexpensive & easy to install upgrade could do that much to the low end performance. I couldn't be happier with the fueling dongle. I installed this on a 2021 690 Enduro R

Easy install. Works great! Much better low end

Great product, quick shipping to North Alabama.
Suggestion - maybe add the option for a small pack of anti-seize for the O2 Plug threads.

Firstly my parcel arrived way quicker than expected. Less than a week from California to Australia.
I have a Vitpilen 701, and it is quite a poor bike in low revs.
I bought one for my bike and a mates. Both of us agree that this made it into a different bike. I am just about to put another order in for more parts (SAS/Canister removal).

2020 KTM 690 SMC-R: At Low speeds cruising the bike's throttle response was not smooth or responsive.
Now with the fueling dongle the bike is now very responsive and very smooth at both all levels of the throttle. Most of all....the bike is not running HOT anymore around town and transitions from cruising to High Speeds are just the Blast I love.

I’ve swapped my 2018 701 Enduro over to a Supermoto and just wasn’t happy with the gearing. Now with this easy to install “dongle” I’m getting the power curve I feel I was getting with the larger rear tire and sprocket setup on the enduro. For me I’m feeling the difference in the low to midrange area. This should be the first mod to any 701, all of the upgrades I’ve gotten from Rottweiler have been top notch....more to come.
Stop putting more miles on your bike without this!

This is absolutely the first thing you should buy for your 690/701. I am absolutely blown away but this super simple product. After reading the reviews I was sure it would do something but not have such a profound difference in midrange power. Right where you expect the bike to bog down like it would stock, it just pulls itself back into that sweet sweet power band and flys. An absolutely must, especially if you live and ride in the mountains with steep inclined corners, this is what you need. This could be $70 dollars more and I would still think it’s an amazing value. Get this NOW!
