The SAS Stage 3 kit has everything you will need to completely remove the emissions on your KTM twin and is highly recommended for the Adventure 990 models due to the lack of stock hoses left over to complete the job. Outside of that model the Stage 3 SAS kit is also designed to aid in balancing the throttle bodies in the future. EXPLANATION: The ports on the throttle bodies that are used to measure the vacuum on each throttle body can be very difficult and time consuming to access and this kit contains parts so that hoses can be attached at one given time (Usually when a Rottweiler Intake System is being installed) and then routed to a place that is much easier to access when the balancing of the throttle bodies is desired.
What is throttle body balancing? Throttle bodies are the method used with fuel injection to deliver the air and fuel mixture to the engine. At idle, the throttle plates are only slightly opened and these openings are critical for a smooth idle and roll off from a stop. If they are out of sync (one is open more than another), you may have a rough idle or poor take off from a stop. Balancing the throttle bodies requires a vacuum tool (available below) to properly measure and correct the slight differences in air flow from one throttle opening to another and is attached to the same ports that the canister valve used to connect to (before removing the emissions). If this is something you think you may do in the future, you will be thankful that this kit is already installed and ready when you are. If balancing the throttle bodies is not something you think you will ever do, we recommend our SAS Stage 2 kit. Balancing the throttle bodies on a KTM Adventure 990 is extremely easy due to the dual fuel tank setup and the ability to run the bike with the fuel tanks secured. Keep in mind that this may a more difficult task on single tank models requiring the fuel tank to be 'propped up' while the bike is running.
The differences between the Stage 2 and 3 SAS kits is only the addition of 8' (3.5m) of tygon hose, a hose holder and some caps.
NOTE: To install this kit on a KTM Adventure 1190/1290, you must remove the throttle bodies and that is best done when installing an intake at the same time.

The Stage 3 kit includes:
SAS Removal:
- 2 Rottweiler Performance SAS Plates
- 1 FI light dongle to stop the FI light from coming on when the SAS valve is removed
- 1 Rubber Plug (Stock Air-Box Only)
- 1 Constant tension spring (For above Rubber Plug)
Canister Removal (Canisterectomy):
- 1 FI Light dongle to stop the FI light from coming on when the canister valve is removed
- 8' of Clear Polyurethane hose for running new fuel tank breather lines or for running new throttle body synchronizing hoses (See option below to add and save $10 on a Motion Pro 'Sync Pro' throttle body balancing tool)
- 2 thumb screw vacuum line caps
- 4- 8mm spring clips for synchronizing hoses
- 1- Nylon hose guides.

Better than expected

I was unsure about how much I'd notice the performance gains from this but I was surprised. I initially got this because I wanted a different air filter. However after installing this and riding around I found that it made the power more linear on my 1190R. Previously the bottom end was lacking. Now I have a great low end on the bike and a little more on the top end. Needless to say this makes off road riding really enjoyable. Worth every $ !!!

I really like this product as it accomplished exactly what I wanted. There is one small issue; the two plugs that close off the Tigon hoses from the throttle bodies are very difficult to get screwed in all the way.

If you want to shed some weight this is a good way to start inexpensive and cleans up the bike as well. If your not a fan of the crackle and pops these get rid of that too at first I wasn’t to I to the idea but thinking about it I’m after performance looks and weight loss, so it was worth it. Very simple to install if you have some mechanical knowledge and your not afraid of working on your own bikes definitely recommend getting this if you have a superduke also gives you more space in the back seat when removing the charcoal canister. Overall great product.

I installed the Rottweiler Stage 3 kit and their Fueling Dongles on my 2016 KTM 1190 Adventure. Everything worked great. I chose not to remove the throttle bodies to install the new vacuum lines and instead extended the existing lines that tee off at the control valve. This was a lot less work and will accomplish the same thing. The bike does run smother with the Fueling Dongles and I really like cleaning up the engine with the SAS kit Great product and Great service from Rottweiler

Engine runs way better with this install. Emission controls do not care about your engine performance. remove all that stuff the allow your engine to run smoother.

I installed the stage 3 kit with the air filter system as well. Probably removed at least 10lbs of OEM spaghetti and panel filter box. There’s more room under the seat and looks so much cleaner. That alone was worth the money. But installing this kit with the Rottweiler foam filter system totally woke the bike up. I was giggling in my helmet when I twisted the throttle on my first ride. I can hear her taking big gulps of air. Time for more fuel! Seriously though, the quality and fitment of Rottweiler parts is top notch. I’m prepared to drain my bank account with all their glorious parts for my KTM 990 adventure.

It Really gets rid of alot of junk under the seat. Video was key, as kit comes with extra parts that might not necessary go to your bike..... but you don't know it, until you call to confirm that these parts are for other bikes.... No more backfiring .. nice!

Easy to install. It would be nice if you had a video on a 1290R adventure because there was a few things different. The kit does come with well made products that feel and fit nice. This kit cleaned up my bike and gave me more room under my seat for tool kit and tire repair kit. Good job Rottweiler Performance keep up the good work.

I had a cat delete pipe along with an Akro slip on, it was fun for awhile with loud back fire on deceleration but eventually go over having to manage the throttle and clutch to keep the back firing down a minimum. I finally installing the stage 3 kit, I wish I had installed the SAS removal kit when I installed the pipe. It almost completely stopped the sound of WWII from coming out of my pipe, It does still have a small bit of pop but it barely noticeable and it only happens at high speed deceleration. I give this a HUGE THUMBS UP.
Install was pretty easy, I’m not a mechanic but with the help of the install video on YouTube it went well no Hick ups.

Great quality and layout. All of the pieces fit perfectly and the instructions are beautiful although only online. Not a big deal and once I was able to view them on my phone I actually preferred the online method. Nice job guys. Oh yeah, fast shipping as well and the tech help was second to none.

easy to install, a fair amount of weight savings and the best part, the bike is actually ride able in the lower rpms now! Cleans up the look and also now have space under the seat for a tool kit. Rottweiler's instructions are clear and easy to follow.

I was unsure about buying from a third party to remove the SAS on my '16 Superduke R but this product surpassed all expectations. Fit was perfect and it removed the pop that was happening due to my de-cat arrow mid pipe and graves slip on. I will be buying from Rottweiler again.

After saving up for the intake, I figured I may as well delete all the emissions / SAS system while I was down there. That was a great plan, because once you get to the intake all this stuff is laid bare and you just may as well. The Tygon hose to the front throttle body balancing nipple probably took me 4-5 hours to fish through the mess down there and mount. It was probably one of the most frustrating things I've ever done mechanically, and I would highly suggest planning to remove your throttle bodies if you want it to be easier. Once it was all done, it really did clean up the bike. There is just a lot less stuff there. POWER WISE: WOW. The fueling, the power delivery, etc. It's all better. I can't really put a value on this kit and how it transformed the bike (along with the intake). It made the bike roll on power more smoothly, and made the delivery MUCH more linear. It honestly rides like a sportbike now. It's 100% worth the money with the intake. Personally, I think the fuelling dongles and whatnot probably make the bigger difference, but you can't go wrong with the whole kit and getting it all done right the first time.

This is the second kit (going on my second 990 ADV) and it is without a doubt the best kit on the market. The quality of the kit is outstanding and the instructions are easy to follow. Yep, putting the block off plate on the forward cylinder is a PITA, but once it's done...its done. I want to give a big Thank You to the Rottweiler Performance Team!

For the most part the installation is easy. The supplied clamps were a pain and I ended up reusing the old clamps. I now have space to store my tool kit, which is what I wanted.
